AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
1. I often ask myself this question. If I died today, am I ok with that? This question awakens me to who I am being, what I do, what I say, who I hang out with, the choices that I make, and the life that I am experiencing right now.
2. My thoughts are not who I am and surprisingly most of them are not true. Sometimes my thoughts pop out of my mouth into words that I speak to others, and I realize that I don’t even mean what I am saying.
I recently started saying ‘oh wait a minute that is not what I meant to say at all’ and then really think about what I want to say and say it.
This may feel awkward for everyone in the conversation, including me, but that’s ok. I will continue to live being me and letting go of all the ways that I think I should be.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
1. “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” by Gautama Buddha.
2. “Someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying.” by Tim McGraw.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
1. Am I scared of dying or do I live every day to the fullest knowing that death is around the corner?
